What credit cards do you take?

That is up to you and your Merchant Processor; however we can support Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Can you process electronic checks?

Yes, we can support transactions with any checking or savings account.

Can I use this for all my credit card processing?

Absolutely, you can order a card magnetic stripe reader, which plugs into any computer USB port. This will allow you to use for all of your processing needs.

Can I accept payments over the phone?

Yes, you will be able to take one time payments and set up recurring payments by receiving verbal approval from your patient. Any credit card or bank account can be used.

Can I use this to automate my patients with payment plans?

Yes, the ClearGage Payment Accelerator is ideal for administering payment plans.

Can I accept payments from the Internet?

Yes, we can provide you with Internet access for your patients to make and review payments.

Do I have to change merchant processors?

No, we are not a payment processor so you can choose to keep your current merchant provider as long as they have a PCI compliant payment gateway or you can choose a new Merchant Provider from a list of ClearGage approved partners. Note: special pricing may be afforded those Clients who choose a ClearGage approved referral partner.

The ClearGage Payment Accelerator™ is a PCI compliant Internet based software application that is designed to simplify and accelerate the revenue cycle process. It contains everything you need to secure payment information, schedule future payments, or collect payments at the point of service and while your patient is still in the office.

Features include:

Payment Methods

The ClearGage Payment Accelerator supports the processing of payments from credit and debit cards and/or an electronic funds transfer (EFT) from the patient's checking or savings account. The system recognizes all major credit card associations – Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

Deposits

All payments received are deposited directly into the provider's account - without passing through an intermediary account, usually within 24 to 48 hours.

Point of Sale Transactions

With the purchase of a $75.00 card reader, you can use the ClearGage Payment Accelerator to process all of your credit and debit card transactions, allowing you to post payments to your practice management software or accounting system. This feature greatly reduces the labor of manual entries and the risk of key stroke errors.

Payments on File/Recurring Payments

The ClearGage Payment Accelerator is PCI compliant and includes a Payments on File feature that securely stores credit and debit card and checking and savings account information. This feature enables your office to establish payment plans and automatic, recurring payments, or simply store the information for future transactions.

Telephone Payments /MOTO Accounts

Say goodbye to "The check is in the mail!" The ClearGage Payment Accelerator is able to accept card not present transactions. The system can set up and authorize one-time or recurring payments for patients right over the phone.

ClearGage Patient Payment Portal

The application also includes a ClearGage Patient Payment Portal where patients can log in to view their balance and payment history and make credit or debit card and electronic check payments to your bank account any time of day - even after the office has closed. Transaction Management

Set up your files to automatically settle every evening or manually run a batch. The Transaction Management module also allows you to:

  • Review and make changes to pending batches
  • Manage expired card information
  • View errors, declines and rejection reports
